Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take?
When will I start to see changes?
Change requires implementation, knowing and understanding is not enough. Change can be immediate when you feel a massive shift right away. Change can be incremental when you see consistent shifts every day or over time. Change can be also retroactive when you don’t see the changes and then one day you look back and realise how things are different.
What does it feel like to be hypnotised?
Hypnosis is a subjective experience; everyone will feel in a different way. There is no “Right” or “Wrong” way to respond and this is not a “Pass” or “Fail” test. The process itself and your responses to it may be as you expect or not as you expect. You may seem to respond to everything, nothing, and some things but not others. It really doesn’t matter. You may feel sleepy, or you may feel more aware – that doesn’t matter either way. Just see what happens as it happens. Let go of any previous ideas and be open-minded that you are participating in an educational process in order to learn and benefit from hypnosis.
So, can you just hypnotise me and I get rid of the problem?
This a common misconception but Hypnosis is not a magic. I can teach you how to use it for your benefit.
Can I get "stuck" in hypnosis?
The short answer is no. You might drift into sleep if you are really relaxed but you will have complete control all the time.
I can't be hypnotised.
Everyone can be hypnotised if they wish to. Hypnosis only works because you allow yourself to accept suggestions and you will be affected only by suggestions you are happy to accept.
Why I have to close my eyes in Hypnosis?
Hypnosis requires to focus your attention and to use your imagination. It is necessary to close your eyes to reduce the enormous amount of data that is coming through your eyes to the brain. It is not impossible to do it with your eyes open but more difficult.
